I’m Tricia Manera and I’m with Better Neighborhoods and and I’m Jim and I’m also with Better Neighborhoods.
Better Neighborhoods has been in business since 2012. Manera properties has been in business since the end of 2012. We decided to start better neighborhoods because I had always wanted to rehab houses and then I decided to become a broker. About six months later and that’s when we started Manara properties as an LL. Tricia is the design consultant for Better Neighborhoods. She makes all of the design decisions I manage the financials and the projects. Then with Manera Properties I’m the broker owner and the person licensed by the state of Arizona’s broker. So I list all our properties on the MLS after they’ve been rehabbed and I’m responsible for making sure they sell at the price point we want.
What I like most is I don’t do this for the money… Jimmy’s the money guy. I do this because I love the hugs
I get when I give people keys to their houses it’s the best feeling ever. I like taking the worst house on the street turning it into the best and rescuing it and somebody buying it and calling it their home and taking care of it that’s the best feeling ever! And I like the feeling of accomplishment when a project is complete. Take it from from from a derelict building, to an inhabitable liveable something that someone wants to live. That this is one of the biggest projects that we’ve started, we’ve done one other that we built from from foundation that was a firehouse.
This house is in a really awesome neighborhood!
I’m excited about being able to list it and resell it because I know I’m gonna get top dollar. This is a really highly highly desirable area of Phoenix. We’ve done a few other houses in this neighborhood they’ve turned out well they’ve been well received. People like the work they do and the market is one that were accustomed to satisfying.
So I have known Shane for seven years
we were in a leadership class together. He doesn’t follow a normal drummer neither do I, so we clicked. His dad’s the same so we work really well together.

This gives them a vehicle that they can get involved with the investment business. People are interested in real estate. Everyone watches those programs on HGTV and says… gee wonder what that’s like. In here for a thousand dollars you can get a taste of that and dip your toes in the water.
