$1,000 Minimum Investment AZ Real Estate

AZ crowdfunding laws, Who Can Invest?

Only Arizona Residents qualify and $1,000 Minimum Investment  gets you into this  AZ crowdfunding project. Accredited investors may invest $1000 or more. Non- Accredited investors may invest $1000 up to $10,000 per individual or entity. The escrow platform that the link below will lead you to has the legal disclosures and will hold all investments. The investments will be held there until the crowdfunding period is closed and the project is funded.

Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act (“JOBS Act”) established new guidelines on how businesses could raise money through crowdfunding. With the passage of the JOBS Act in 2012, many of the barriers that previously existed for investors in real estate were removed. You no longer had to know someone who knew someone to find a project to invest in, but could now find many projects sourced from a sponsors offer on a crowdfunding platform like PhixNPhlip.com.

House Bill 2591 is legislation that provides further explanation into how transactions are conducted, including real estate Crowdfunding. Here of the most important points of the legislation:

  • Only Arizona residents qualify to invest in this crowdfunding project.
  •  Non-accredited investors may invest $1000 up to $10,000 per individual or entity.
  • All sales must occur through a web portal.
    • PhixNPhlip will link you to the escrow company . That will lead you to the legal disclosures of the project and will hold all investments.
    •  The investments will be held there until the crowdfunding period is closed and the project is funded.

Arizona State Senate Issue Brief Crowdfunding, capital, raising and securities

This briefing details Crowdfunding as a recent development in fundraising involving a large number of people contributing a relatively small amount of money to a combined fund. The use of crowdfunding has become prevalent in the offering and sale of securities, allowing contributes to invest their money in private equity rather than simply donating to a cause of their choice.

In the briefing they generally define a crowdfunding platform as any type of tradable financial asset, such as a stock or bond, which is sold by an issuer to an investor for a capitol raising purpose.

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), established by Securities Exchanges Act of 1934 is currently responsible for enforcing the Securities Act. The Exchange Act was designed to establish investor confidences in the financial markets.

In Conclusion, Real Estate Crowdfunding solves a lot of problems for both investors and developers.

  • Minimums way too high
  • No access (“country club” deals)
  • Murky information, no disclosures or project information

In the past, Investors usually had to put up a minimum of $100,000 to invest in a project, but crowdfunding has helped to reduce that, with some platforms allowing investors to participate in a project with an investment as low as $1,000 . Real Estate Crowdfunding is a great opportunity to diversify your investment portfolio or fund your next adventure!
